No doubt, being in a relationship could be quite tricky, especially when you have cultural differences thrown into the mix. Here are five hilarious lines from Kano Luvs Pinay that perfectly illustrate the struggles of being in intercultural relationships (that we’re sure Pinays with AFAM boyfriends could easily relate to):

1. Your body clock lives in a different time zone.

“It’s afternoon der? It is 3am na hir e…But it’s okey. I tok to you en I not slippy anymoar!“

2. Context clues and body language are your best friends when communication gets tricky.

Being in an intercultural relationship might seem hard, but all the challenges are worth it when you’re with the person you love. ModernFilipina.ph’s resident writer Janessa Hizon proved this, when she took a chance with the love of her life–and they’ve been happily married for years!
