Whatever the season, you should always make sure that your face is hydrated. Not oily – hydrated. If you spend most of your time in a freezing workplace, then skin care products are your best friends.
Apart from stress, climate can take a toll on your skin. Hot and humid temperatures can make you prone to breakouts, especially if you have oily skin. Cold temperatures can strip your skin of moisture, leaving it dry and sometimes, itchy. During dry weather, eczema may also flare up.
Now that it’s the rainy season, it can intensify the cold inside the workplace, which is why you need a hydrating skin care product that can leave your skin feeling fresh and healthy.
I struggle with dry skin and looking for skin care products that would keep it from drying up and itching is a bit of a challenge for me. And just in time, I encountered Origani’s Erda Daily Glow Toning Cleanser.
Packaging
I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and when I saw the box it came in, I just had to know what it was and what it can do for my skin.
Its box reminds me of fine china because of the white, blue, and gold ensemble. The intricately-designed flowers made me think of all the fancy pampering that I’m going to get with this product. The bottle itself was pretty. It looked really simple, but fancy.
Ingredients and First Impressions
The Origani Erda Daily Glow Toning Cleanser consists of certified organic ingredients and for that, I’m thankful. Its key ingredients include:
- Red Grape Seed Extract: This contains antioxidants, namely vitamins C and E, which protect cells from unstable molecules that can cause pigmentation or wrinkles.
- Honey: This does wonders for your skin. It’s great for acne prevention, slowing down aging, and it also helps you keep that youthful glow.
- Cinnamon: This is great for acne-prone and dry skin, as it soothes and enhances your complexion.
- Green Tea: This has anti-aging properties that will help you prevent age spots and sun damage.
The consistency is a bit thick, which is why you would want to make sure you rinse thoroughly to make sure that all of it comes off. Once it’s off, your face will definitely feel cleaner and lighter.
Directions
All you have to do is gently massage this onto your face and neck. Two to three pumps will do.
Treat this like your makeup remover and facial cleanser all in one. The instructions say you should follow this up with either the Rich & Hydrating Day Cream or Soothing and Reviving Night cream from the same line product line for maximum effect. I skipped this one because I’m committed to my current day and night moisturizer.
Results
I used it for a week and I’m actually surprised at how hydrated my face felt after using it. I tried using it on its own, without topping it with a moisturizer, and it worked just fine. But, using a moisturizer protects you from getting dry so I don’t recommend forgoing it.
If you’re aiming for a dewy look without the makeup, then you might want to try this product out for yourself.
Would I use it again? Heck yes. Would I recommend it to other Modern Filipinas? A hundred times yes.
