Do you swoon over the full eyebrows you see on celebrities like Anne Curtis, Rhian Ramos, Lily Collins, and Cara Delevingne—but find yourself in a funk whenever you look at your own thinned out, rainbow-shaped brows?
If you ever went through a thin eyebrow phase, like most women once did, you probably searched high and low for ways to regrow your overplucked brows. Now that fuller arches are big again, we tracked down some easy strategies for tweezer-loving gals to regrow their brows.
1. Toss the tweezers.
Obviously, the one thing you can do to regrow your over-plucked eyebrows is to stop all the tweezing and waxing for a least a month or two. This way, you’re letting your hair follicles recover. Although this seems like a no-brainer, some people are just too sensitive about the unkempt look and can’t seem to leave their brows untouched for this long. I know this is asking a lot of you, but it’s best to give the hair removal a break for a while and start over again. If you can’t stand the stray hairs, just pluck above your brow line and between your brows—not anywhere else.
2. Use a brow razor.
Growing hair on the brow area is tricky because that area lacks oil, even compared to the rest of the face. One technique to grow your eyebrow hair fast is to shave the areas where you want more growth to occur using a brow razor. Much like shaving armpit hair, shaving some of your eyebrow hair will make it grow back faster.
3. Exfoliate to stimulate growth.
Exfoliation may not be part of your usual eyebrow grooming routine, but it’s time to change things up in the name of thicker brows. Gently rubbing the area with a soft or baby toothbrush can actually help with regrowing the hair. It also gives the brows a healthy look.
4. Take Your Vitamins
Vitamins A, B6, C, E, and Biotin helps the body to grow nails, but it also encourages hair growth. Get your daily dose of these vitamins by eating certain types of food, such as green leafy vegetables, carrots, fruits, nuts, and brown rice. You can also pop a vitamin supplement in the morning to ensure you’re getting your fill of these nutrients.
5. Experiment with oils and brow serums.
For more hair in a hurry, try a growth serum. There are so many eyebrow serums out on the market—some can even thicken your hair in as fast as 10 days. If you’re more of a DIYer, you can use oil. Massage the eyebrow area with a small amount of olive, coconut, or castor oil, and make this part of your daily routine.
The full eyebrow has been trendy for a while, and it’s not showing signs of going away. So while plucking daily can be satisfying, just throw out the tweezers, let your hair grow, and channel your inner Anne Curtis (or Lily Collins).
