It was almost a year ago that news of Jam Sebastian’s diagnosis of lung cancer hit news sites all over the country. It was less than that since many of us sighed at the bittersweet kilig feels evoked by the video in which his girlfriend and YouTube filmmaking partner Mich Liggayu publicly proposed to him in May of last year. Lately the news has been filled with stories of his final struggle with cancer, which he succumbed to today, March 4, 2015, when his family made the decision to take him off life support, according to a report on Rappler.com.
But sad as this news of a talented 28-year-old death is, we wanted to celebrate the way he and his fiancee Mich touched thousands, even millions of lives, with their creativity and visible devotion. The couple’s YouTube channel, JamichTV, features short films made by the couple as well as clips from their life together and has over half a million subscribers and over 100 million views. This is a short film from the movie 3 Idiots and Sex Is Zero, and it stars Jam and Mich as well as Jam’s brother Yexel.
