Backed by the award-winning music of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (of La La Land and The Greatest Showman), this Tony- and Grammy-winning show is a must-see. It’s raw, honest, and incredibly relatable.

In the Eyes of the People
Where: The Mirror Theatre Studio
When: April 2025
Tickets: https://tinyurl.com/2y7mtmyc
Presented by: CAST PH x Mad Child Productions
This one’s for the thinkers, the changemakers, and the curious minds. Inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the People, this adaptation by Nelsito Gomez transports the classic to a modern-day Filipino setting — in Santa Cristina in the Visayas.
This play pits morality and social responsibility against profit and politics. Weaved with complications of family and privilege, In the Eyes of the People presents a thought-provoking and compelling narrative.
It’s a sharp, reflective piece that uses Ibsen’s century-old message as a mirror to our present-day issues, making it feel urgent and profoundly relevant.
Come From Away
Where: Samsung Performing Arts Theater
When: June 6–29, 2025
Tickets: https://tinyurl.com/yc3y4mzd
Presented by: GMG Productions
Feel-good and heartwarming, Come From Away tells the incredible true story of 7,000 stranded passengers who found unexpected comfort and community in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, after the events of 9/11.
This heartfelt musical reminds us of the kindness we’re capable of during dark times. Meanwhile, with the leadership of a Filipino creative team and its cast of local theater legends, this production is set to showcase Filipino talent.
Come From Away is sure to be powerful, funny, and uplifting.
Grace by Floy Quintos
Where: PETA Theater Center
When: June 14–29, 2025
Tickets: https://tinyurl.com/2s68sktt
Presented by: Encore Theater
Poignant, poetic, and powerfully Filipino, Grace is Encore Theater’s tribute to the legacy of the late playwright Floy Quintos. Grace is based on the alleged Marian apparitions in Lipa Carmel in 1948 and the miracles (and controversies) that followed.
With a cast full of veterans — including Stella Cañete-Mendoza, Shamaine Buencamino, and Frances Makil-Ignacio — the show explores faith, doubt, and the thin line between truth and belief.
The show is particularly special this year, as it marks the first anniversary of Quintos’ passing. As such, Grace becomes more than a story — it’s a celebration of a brilliant life and body of work.
Shrek the Musical
Where: Newport Performing Arts Theater
When: December 2025
