Halloween is a couple of days away, and we can’t wait to don our costumes (if you don’t have one yet, here are several easy ideas to try), try out artsy makeup, and party over the weekend.
No doubt, black is more de rigueur more than ever, as everyone’s wearing it in the spirit of Halloween. Planning to don an all-black ensemble to work? Here are must-try beauty looks that work well with the oh-so-chic hue–which is just perfect for this spooky holiday. Take your cue from these celebrities who are totally owning it:
1. Keep things simple.
Remember the “no-makeup look”? Well, it looks absolutely fabulous when paired with black. Highlight your assets by going for glowing skin and keeping this simple, makeup-wise. Just reach for your kilay gear, mascara, and lipstick (either in baby pink or nude shades), and you’re good to go. P.S. This makes for a fab day look that you can wear at work.
2.Go for pink lips.
Most ladies shy away from pink because it might be too “loud” for their tastes, but trust us, it’s not. You can take baby steps and go for light pink shades for starters, and let your puckers take the spotlight by donning an all-black ensemble.

3. Or pair it with red.
Catch everyone’s attention by pairing up red puckers with a black outfit. Keep your eye makeup to a minimum (a swipe of mascara and minimal eyeliner would do) so that the spotlight’s all on your lips, just like Kim Chiu’s look here:

4. Go for sleek locks.
Be effortlessly chic like Julia Montes, who went for sleek-straight hair to match her formal wear. This is an easy trick if you want to easily transition your day look into night (like after-office drinks for instance). This way, all the attention is on your face and on your outfit.
5. Vamp things up.
Go for full-on vamp by donning dark red lipstick. Take your cue from Julia Barretto and we’re sure all eyes will be on you. Need tips on wearing dark lipstick? Check out our article here.
